Grappelli’s playing in this album is better than ever, and the trio accompanying him is arguably his best group since the faraway days with guitar-legend Django Reinhardt. The band had been playing for over two years at the time of this recording, which is the only recording ever, made of this group. Each man is a virtuoso on his instrument – as evidenced by his various solos on this album. It is the intimate knowledge of the musicality of one for the other; born from countless concert dates that forms the basis of their jazz improvisation. Listening to this album will simply make you feel happy. It is great jazz all the way!
