Many American blues musicians came to Europe during the 1960s, and many performed at THE AMERICAN FOLK BLUES FESTIVAL (1962–70, 1972, 1980–83, 1985). Each festival featured 10 famous blues artists. Storyville recorded the artists in the wee hours of the morning, after they had played the evening concert. Storyville also recorded some of the blues musicians in the studio with local musicians. Many of the bluesmen settled down and continued to performed in Europe. Among them were such names as Memphis Slim, Champion Jack Dupree and Eddie Boyd. All titles on this CD are recorded in Denmark and Switzerland.
