In a time when the young jazz musicians who gets the largest headlines and biggest record contracts either devote themselves to jazz/rock fusion or belong to the ever increasing hordes of neo classisists, it’s great that we still have musicians like Kim Kristensen, The 37 year old Danish pianist isn’t following the jazz/rock path or delving into jazz history and dressing it up in a modes clothing. In fact, somebody might wonder whether Kim Kristensen should be labelled as a jazz musician.
