The 19 top-tuned musicians of The DR Big Band represent a flagship in Danish jazz. Every year since 1964 they have been offering musical experiences ranging over classic bigband-jazz, soft ballads and contemporary music. Their brand new Christmas album is no exception. It gives you ten classics in smooth arrangements and one new tune composed by Mads Mathias. All songs are performed by Danish and international artists.

You may enjoy the American star singer Curtis Stigers as he interprets It´s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas, our own Sinne Eeg charming her way through Jingle Bells, the jazzdiva Cæcilie Norby on the seductive Snowfall, or dig the young Norwegian singer Mimi Terris as she unfolds her talent on It´s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.

As a finishing touch, the album closes with the beloved sounds of trumpet legend Palle Mikkelborg in Harline-Washington’s When You Wish upon a Star. It´s bound to be a jazzy Christmas!
