Papa Bue’s Viking Jazzband is the most popular traditional jazzband in Denmark. Recently they celebrated their 50 year anniversary as an orchestra and they are still going strong. Throughout their glorious career they have had two long-time engagement in Copenhagen. For many years they were the houseband at the famous Restaurant Vingaarden and in later years they were the houseband in Tivoli’s Jazzhouse Slukefter and at the same time the regular Sunday band at one of the outdoor stages in the Tivoli Garden. These two session are from those venues.
