The Saturday Night Swing Club. which first aired on Columbia Broadcasting System's New York station WABC on June 13, 1936, brought the sounds of Bunny Berigan and other stars into American homes at 8:00 P.M Eastern Standard Time. and at various later hours up to 11:00 P.M. on network affiliates across the countrv. Because of this prime time exposure, many more people than usual noticed the new phenomenon of swing and started to pay attention. This is a unique opportunity to re-wind the clock and once more enjoy the artistry of Ellington, Berigan, the QHCF, Kress and McDonough, and, best of all, Benny Goodman and many more great artists!
