Live In Denmark Vol. 3
When the interest in the earliest form of jazz caught on in Europe after World War II, Dixieland bands sprang up among the youth in many countries. A great deal of the musicians in these bands kept on playing, and helped to keep the tradition alive. The best among them even got the chance to play with the stars they idolized in their younger days. In addition to the two veterans from New Orleans, Kid Thomas Valentine (1896-1987) and Louis Nelson (1902-1990), who made their first recordings in New Orleans in 1951 and 1949 respectively, the songs on this CD are performed by experienced and talented musicians from Denmark and Great Britain.
