Ray Mckinley And His Orchestra 1946-49

7,00

After working with the Dorsey Brothers and Glenn Miller, Ray McKinley started his own band in 1946. McKinley was a showman and flashy drummer who also liked to sing. Along with many good soloists, the music here is enhanced by the work of McKinley's main arranger, Eddie Sauter. This CO is a wonderful blend of swinging music, humor, good soloists and great drumming by the bandleader. Combined, these elements made Ray McKinley's Orchestra one of the best— and most advanced — in the post-war years.
